QS51 different languages
Q) I need to create "Selected Sets" Catalog 1 Characteristic attributes in two different languages, but the menu Utilities --> Change Languages is inactive. It is not an authorization issue. A) First create the characteristics in the primary language
log-in. Then log-in in the 2nd language and in the change mode, maintain
the attributes.
Inspection Origin 05 Movement types Q) Which movement types refer to inspection origin 05? A) You need to check the T156S- QSSHK. It shows the inspection
lot origin for all movement types. There you can find the answers to your
queries.
CWBQM QM Engineering Workbench Q) Any opinion on whether CWBQM was typically given to end users and for what use. A) It really depends on your end user / SME community,
but (my opinion only) is that is not the most intuitive of transactions
to use, and would require a significant amount of training. I wouldn't
release it to all end users unless absolutely necessary, like for multiple
spec maintenance, etc.
Inspection Lot Status Q) Is anyone aware of the standard SAP function module that sets the status of an inspection lot? I need to change the status of a lot based on certain conditions and looked at QFPO_POST_STATUS_FOR_LOT but this didn't return anything. I need the status of the lot to be INSP RREC so that I can forward the result copy on to batch classification. A) In general, forcing a change to the system status is
not a very good idea. Instead, you should consider using a user status.
If the system status is not RREC then, there will be no results to copy.
Increase GR inspection lot quantity Q) We are doing multiple GRs for the same material/batch/PO combination and want these to update the same inspection lot as QI stock. However once we have done a positive UD for this inspection lot if we get another receipts for this combination we want to create a new inspection lot. From using the indicators on the material master, I can't get this to happen as all the subsequent GRs once the UD is carried out post to unrestricted stock as I guess SAP thinks that the inspection is finished for this combination. A) From the IMG documentation on the lot summary setting,
if you have an acceptable UD, then the system will post subsequent receipts
to unrestricted stock, and only create a new Lot if the UD was not acceptable.
Inspection lot creation Q) Is it possible to make the inspection lot quantity
to (1 ) all the time? Can it be configured as an automatic default
in QA01? If yes, what are the steps necessary to make a sample
A) If you are referring to the Sample Size the answer
is yes. If you are referring to the Lot Size, then the answer is
no. For the lot quantity , you can use a sampling procedure of type
fixed and assign the size to 1.
Post to sample usage stock Q) Trying to do a destructive inspection by posting a process order of qty 15 with sample size as 5. When I perform the UD stock posting with the destructive inspection indicator and additive sample indicator set for the inspection plan, the system proposes 5 to go to sample usage and the remaining 10 to unrestricted stock. When I save the UD and check the stock it shows 5 still in QI when the sample usage should have been consumed. For some reason it remains in QI stock. Is this a bug in SAP QM/IM? Is there an OSS note for this or do I have to use user exit SAPQEVA0009 for this. When I post 10 to unrestricted stock and save the UD and then go back to QA12 and post the 5 to sample usage the stock is posted correctly. 5 in sample usage is consumed. Is this the correct process. A) Check the movement types that are assigned to the inventory
movements for Usage Decision codes. In the case of VMENGE03, my system
had movement type 331, which issues the sample to Sampling QI stock. I
changed this to 553 to scrap the material instead.
Quality planning after GR Q) In our plant, GR for a material was made three months back. This material is QM managed. The quality plan for this material was made this month only. Hence our QM personnel are not able to clear this particular GR. How do I go about it? What is the TCode for it and how do I proceed? A) You can reset the Sample Calculation and Recalculate the change in Start & Inspection end date in QA02. In QA02 you can also change the key date on the second tab so it looks for a plan on that date. If that plan has already been created, you can then change the key date to the current date and it will find the plan. |
